Somerset director of cricket Matthew Maynard has extended his contract to 2019. Maynard has been in charge at Taunton since late 2014 and this year took Somersets fight for a first County Championship to the final session of the season.Middlesex eventually pipped them to the title but Maynard has been rewarded with a two-year extension to his previous deal.
